Engine Repair

Engine noise is one of those sounds that can keep you up at night even when the motor is off.  Tapping, ticking, knocking, rattling and squealing?  If your engine sounds like one of these or any combination, we have the experience, tools and the expertise to quickly diagnose that scary new noise.  Next time you find yourself lying awake at night, staring at the ceiling in a cold sweat fearing the worst for your four-wheeled friend, give us a call and let us put your mind at ease because it may be a simple remedy if the underlying issue is caught early enough.

Strange smells that emanate from the vents after your car warms up can be a sign of fluid leaks, exhaust leaks, overheating or an electrical short.  All it takes is a drop or two of oil on the exhaust manifold to make a lot of burning odor so follow your nose to our shop and let us get to the bottom of your olfactory disturbance with good old factory techniques.

Poor performance isn't limited to Hollywood, husbands and divorce attorneys.  Engines do it too!  Next time you try to pass a car like Dale Earnhardt but look more like Ralph Nader, limp on in so we can run some tests and see why your engine lacks motivation.

Fluid Leaks can happen anytime and anywhere on an engine.  As the gaskets and seals age, it's typical for most engines to exhibit some level of incontinence.  If your car is leaving trails instead of blazing trails, it's time to bring it by to narrow down the source of the leak and repair it so you can once again park on the driveway at your in-laws.

Electronics like the ignition system, must function 100% correctly for the engine to run properly.  The ignition system is responsible for firing the spark plugs to get fuel burning which is activated when the key is turned on or start button is pushed.  It can also be activated remotely if you're one of the spoiled kids on the block.  We find it can be difficult for you to have a good relationship with your car when there's no spark.  We're here to tackle any engine electrical issues related to the ignition, fuel injection, variable cam timing, starting, charging and engine control modules.
