We Repair:
Ignition Systems
Symptoms include: engine shaking (misfiring) more so when accelerating, bad gas milage, increased emissions, lack of power and random people pointing and laughing at the sound as you take off.
Components include: Spark plugs, ignition coils, spark plug wires/boots, ignition control module, crankshaft position sensor, powertrain control module and related wiring.

Charging systems
Symptoms include: battery light on, dim lights, dead battery, engine dies when jumper cables removed, reduced battery life, frequent battery replacement due to overcharge condition and getting the kids only halfway to school when the car dies.
Components include: battery, alternator, powertrain control module, central junction block, serial data bus, wiring harness and alternator drive belt.

Starting systems
Symptoms include: engine not cranking over while ignition switch turned to start position or start button depressed, grinding sound while cranking, intermittent no start/crank, single click with no starter engagement and being late to work.   Often confused with dead battery.
Components include starter, battery & cables, start relay, powertrain control module and your right hand.
Tech tip: If you suspect a failed starter and would like to avoid a tow.  Have uncle Rick or equivalent tap on the starter lightly while you hold the key forward.  You may get another start out of it and will also verify the starter is at fault.  Just make sure uncle Rick knows what he is doing so he doesn't break it!

Lighting systems
Symptoms include lights out, lights turning on or off for no reason as if vehicle is "possessed", turn signal flashing fast or not at all.  Components include headlight and parking light switch, automatic light sensors, incandescent, LED & HID bulbs, sockets, wiring harness, multi-function switch and body control module.
Fun fact:  Headlights that glow with a blue color are illegal in Minnesota.
